Zaporizhstal’s crude steel output up 6.6 percent in Jan-Aug

In August this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased slightly by 0.5 percent year on year to 302,000 mt, its pig iron production went up by 3.5 percent to 395,200 mt, while its crude steel production rose by 0.9 percent year on year to 356,300 mt, according to the company's results.

Meanwhile, in the January-August period, Zaporizhstal saw a 10.9 percent year-on-year increase in its finished steel product output to 2.41 million mt, while its crude steel production rose by 6.6 percent year on year to 2.74 million mt and its pig iron output totaled 2.93 million mt, up 24.4 percent year on year.
