Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has issued its prices for carbon steel flat products for delivery in May this year.
The producer has decided to cut its local base prices for hot rolled coil (HRC), for steel plate, hot dip galvanized (HDG), galvalume, medium-aluminum zinc aluminum magnesium, high-aluminum zinc aluminum magnesium, non-grain-oriented silicon steel and oriented silicon steel each by RMB 100/mt ($14/mt), while it has decided to cut local base prices for acid pickling plate and cold rolled coil (CRC) both by RMB 150/mt ($21/mt), all for delivery in May. In addition, the producer has decided to keep its local base prices for pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) stable.
