Baosteel raises local HRC prices by $7/mt for May

Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has issued its prices for carbon steel flat products for delivery in May this year.

The producer has decided to raise its local base prices by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt) for hot rolled coil (HRC), acid pickling plate, galvalume, and high-aluminum zinc aluminum magnesium, it has decided to keep local base prices stable for steel plate, cold rolled coil (CRC), hot dip galvanized (HDG), and non-grain-oriented silicon steel, while raising local base prices for pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) and grain-oriented silicon steel by RMB 100/mt ($14/mt) and RMB 200/mt ($28/mt), respectively, all for delivery in May.
