Brazilian producers remain negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $900/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades, stable over the last four weeks.

In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 5,600/mt ($1,134/mt), stable in BRL from two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.

In January, Brazil exported 49,400 mt and imported 15,200 mt of HRC, against respectively 66,300 mt and 68,400 mt in December.

The exporters were CSN (29,000 mt at $802/mt), ArcelorMittal (15,200 mt at $588/mt), Usiminas (3,800 mt at $663/mt) and Gerdau (1,400 mt at $604/mt), all FOB conditions.
