According to sources, at least one slab export deal was closed at $615/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades, for the first shipments in July.

The price is the same as last week, closed for the last shipments in June.

One exporter mentioned that he is now offering slabs for shipments in July in a range of $635/mt to $645/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades, in his view in line with HRC prices evolution in the US.

Preliminary indications point to slabs exports from Brazil reduced from the 484,700 mt exported in March.
