According to sources, at least one of the main slab exporters in Brazil has concluded its sales for shipments in January.
The last deal for such exports was closed at $650/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades, for a shipment to the US.
This price is now considered as the benchmark for the negotiations covering exports for shipments in February, which compares to a range of $605/mt to $630/mt, under the same conditions, the reference for negotiations last week.
The negotiations for shipments in February are due to start during the next two weeks.
