CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated in average at $885/mt, CFR conditions, against $900/mt two weeks ago, according to sources.
In December, Brazil exported 11,900 mt of CRC, in average at $834/mt, and imported 49,700 mt at $685/mt, against respectively 2,100 mt at $1,409/mt and 47,600 mt at $649/mt in November, all FOB conditions.
The exports of December were destined to the US (9,700 mt at $764/mt) and South America (2,200 mt at $1,142/mt), shipped chiefly by Usiminas (11,800 mt at $833/mt), while small volumes were shipped by ArcelorMittal and by traders, FOB conditions.
The imports were from China (47,300 mt at $676/mt), South Korea (1,800 mt at $859/mt) and the US (500 mt at $877/mt), also FOB conditions. Small volumes were imported from Europe.
In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,620/mt ($1,340/mt), against BRL 6,700/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
