CRC import price offers decline in Brazil

CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated in average at $820/mt, CFR conditions, against $840/mt two weeks ago, according to sources.

In April, Brazil exported 19,000 mt and imported 22,300 mt of CRC, against respectively 19,800 mt and 54,600 mt in March.

The exports of April were destined to Mexico (14,500 mt at $828/mt), the US (3,100 mt at $936/mt) and South American countries (1,400 mt at $1,345/mt), FOB conditions, shipped by Usiminas (17,900 mt at $876/mt) and CSN (1,100 mt at $1,007/mt).

The imports were from Asia (21,500 mt, of which 16,200 mt at $649/mt from China), and Sweden (800 mt at $1,106/mt), also FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is now offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,650/mt ($1,301/mt), against BRL 6,700/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
