CRC import price offers rise in Brazil

CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated in average at $895/mt, CFR conditions, against $880/mt two weeks ago, according to sources.

In November, Brazil exported 2,100 mt and imported 47,600 mt of CRC, against respectively 1,900 mt and 31,500 mt in October.

The exports of November were all destined to South American countries, shipped by Usiminas (1,900 mt at $1,418/mt) and ArcelorMittal (100 mt at $1,290/mt), FOB conditions. Small volumes were exported by traders.

The imports came from Asia (47,200 mt, of which 45,000 mt at $643/mt from China) and Europe (400 mt at $1,276/mt) also FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,700/mt ($1,351/mt), against BRL 6,500/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
