CRC import price offers stable in Brazil

CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated in average at $870/mt, CFR conditions, stable from two weeks ago, according to sources.

In February, Brazil exported 12,000 mt and imported 32,300 mt of CRC, against respectively 4,800 mt and 21,500 mt in January.

The imports came from Asia (32,000 mt, of which 18,800 mt at $635/mt from China) and Europe (300 mt at $1,243/mt), FOB conditions.

The exports were destined to the US (8,500 mt at $809/mt), South America (3,200 mt at $1,108/mt) and Pakistan (300 mt at $370/mt), also FOB conditions.

The exporters were Usiminas (10,000 mt at $858/mt), CSN (1,500 mt at $966/mt) and ArcelorMittal (400 mt at $1,175/mt), FOB conditions, while a small volume was exported by traders.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades remains offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,600/mt ($1,325/mt), stable from two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
