The reference price of hot dipped galvanized products (HDG), for export from Brazil to South American countries is $1,100/mt today, against $1,050/mt four weeks ago, CFR conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75 mm thickness product as reference.
In November, Brazil exported 12,800 mt and imported 34,600 mt of HDG.
The destinations of the exports in November were South American countries (8,700 mt at $1,919/mt) and the US (4,100 mt at $925/mt) FOB conditions.
The exporters were Usiminas (12,100 mt at $1,611/mt), ArcelorMittal (500 mt at $1,449/mt) and CSN (200 mt at $1,288/mt), FOB.
The imports were from Asia (33,900 mt, of which 32,600 mt at $750/mt from China), and Europe (700 mt at $1,232/mt), also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, to end users or distributors, at BRL 6,500/mt ($1,316/mt), against BRL 6,400/mt four weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
