According to sources, slab deals for exports from Brazil, shipments in in February, are now framed by a range of $700/mt to $710/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.

The price compares to $710/mt, under the same conditions, for expectations unveiled last week as the base for negotiations for shipments in February.

A source linked to an exporter mentioned that, with HRC in the US now priced at $1,176/mt, the slab price has room to increase from the current price range.

In December, the Brazilian slabs exports are expected to decline from the 551,000 mt exported in November.
