Three major Russian steel producers, namely, Severstal, Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) and Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), plan to keep their domestic flat steel prices stable at October levels until the end of this year.
Currently, in the Russian domestic market, mainstream prices of 1.5-4 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) stand at Ruble 24,900-27,600/mt ($814-903/mt), while prices of 6-20 mm plate are in the range of Ruble 24,700-27,600/mt ($808-890/mt), prices of 1.5-2 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) stand at Ruble 29,300-32,500/mt ($958-1,063/mt), and prices of 0.5-2 mm hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil are at Ruble 37,100-41,800/mt ($1,213-1,367/mt). All prices are inclusive of tax.
However it is also heard that price discounts are prevalent in the Russian domestic market for most buyers.
