US plate prices mostly steady on adequate supply

SteelOrbis has learned that spot market prices for US domestic plate this week are $62-$64/cwt,  ($1,367-$1,411/mt or $1,240-$1,280/nt), FOB mill, steady to slightly less than last week’s $61-$64/cwt ($1,345-$1,411/mt or $1,220-$1,280/nt) range. Domestic plate was assessed $62.00-$64.00 cwt two weeks ago, indicating markets continue to be well supplied, traders said.
