Over the past week, a few Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have been offering export prices at $640-660/mt FOB, down by $10/mt against the backdrop of the negative sentiment in the import scrap and billet segments. Currently, official ex-Turkey equal angle offers are mostly standing at $640-660/mt FOB, for February shipment. The merchant bar export segment is expected to gain clarity after Monday, January 8.

The SteelOrbis daily Turkish billet import reference price stands at $525-540/mt, versus $535-555/mt a week ago.
