Iskenderun-based Turkish mill hikes its longs prices sharply

SteelOrbis has been informed that, today, November 28, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has increased its rebar price by TRY 500/mt ($12/mt), as compared to Wednesday, November 22, to TRY 21,000/mt ($605/mt) ex-works, amid the positive sentiment in the import scrap and billet segments. In addition, the mill has increased its wire rod price by $10/mt to $620/mt ex-works over the same period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 28.93 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.

The mill's rebar price has settled at the higher end of the general price range in Turkey at $580-605/mt ex-works, including the price of Icdas A.S.
