Iskenderun-based Turkish mill increases its rebar price

SteelOrbis has been informed that, today, February 20, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has hiked its rebar price by TRY 300/mt ($4/mt), compared to February 13, to TRY 24,000/mt ($647/mt) ex-works, amid the ongoing currency fluctuations. In addition, the mill has kept its wire rod price unchanged at $650/mt ex-works today. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 30.90 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.

Currently, most mills in the Marmara and Izmir regions are still offering official rebar prices at $625-640/mt ex-works, while additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers only.
