Iskenderun-based Turkish mill increases its rebar price

SteelOrbis has been informed that, today, March 27, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has hiked its rebar price by TRY 150/mt ($3/mt) compared to the previous day to TRY 23,750/mt ($614/mt) ex-works, in order to offset the currency fluctuations. In addition, the mill has kept its wire rod price at $610/mt ex-works today. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 32,24 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.

According to sources, the mill had previously succeeded in selling a small tonnage of rebar at TRY 23,600/mt ($611/mt) ex-works, closing its rebar sales yesterday afternoon.

$1 = TRY 32.24
