Iskenderun-based Turkish mill raises its rebar price

SteelOrbis has been informed that, today, February 13, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has increased its rebar price by TRY 200/mt ($5/mt) to TRY 23,700/mt ($643/mt) ex-works, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations. In addition, the mill has kept its wire rod price unchanged at $650/mt ex-works today. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 30.73 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.

Currently, most mills in the Marmara and Izmir regions are still offering official rebar prices at $625-640/mt ex-works, while additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers only.
