SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that local wire rod prices in the Libyan market are at LYD 780-785/mt ($634-638/mt) ex-works. Meanwhile, recent offers from Turkey to Libya have been at $610/mt CFR.

Market players state that wire rod demand in Libya is at medium levels, while Libyan buyers prefer to purchase from the local market instead of buying Turkish wire rod.
