Local and import wire rod prices in Libya

Market sources state that local wire rod prices in the Libyan domestic market stand at LYD 780-785/mt ($624-628/mt) ex-works, indicating no changes over the past three weeks. In the meantime, the latest Turkish wire rod offers to the country stand at $605/mt CFR, declining by $5/mt over the same period. Market players report that demand for wire rod in the country is at medium levels.
