Over the past two weeks, Turkish official domestic merchant bar prices have remained stable on Turkish lira basis, with falling by $6-7/mt on US dollar basis amid the ongoing currency fluctuations. In addition, one Iskenderun-based mill has kept its equal angle price unchanged at TRY 19,500-19,810/mt ($606-616/mt) ex-works for now.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for late April-May delivery or from stocks. A few re-rollers are also offering their HEA/HEB (550-700 mm, standard) at TRY 26,750/mt ($823/mt), for delivery to the Karabuk region.
Most local buyers are just back from the holiday and so far they are just monitoring the import scrap and billet price trends.
