Over the past week, Turkish official domestic merchant bar prices have increased by TRY 200-450/mt ($4-12/mt), against the backdrop of costlier billet. In addition, one Iskenderun-based mill has set its equal angle price at TRY 19,700-20,000/mt ($654-664/mt) ex-works this week, as it was offering equal angles at TRY 19,700-19,990/mt ($657-666/mt) with an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 30.00 on Friday, January 12.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for late February delivery or from stocks. A few re-rollers are also offering their HEA/HEB (550-700 mm, standard) at TRY 24,900/mt ($827/mt), rising by TRY 100/mt and unchanged on US dollar basis, for delivery to the Karabuk region.
