Over the past week, Turkish mills have kept their official wire rod prices at unchanged levels amid stable import scrap prices. Sources report that a few mills are applying aggressive pricing policies to generate sales and that additional discounts are available to serious buyers.

One Iskenderun-based mill has kept its wire rod price stable at $650/mt ex-works today, SteelOrbis has heard.

Kardemir is still offering its 6-27 mm SAE 1008-1010 wire rod at $645/mt ex-works today, stable compared to Wednesday, January 10.
