Over the past week, Turkish mills have mostly kept their official wire rod prices unchanged levels amid sluggish demand. However, most local buyers are exerting pressure for further discounts due to the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment. A few mills are even offering discounts of up to $10/mt for serious buyers.

One Iskenderun-based mill has kept its wire rod price unchanged at $650/mt ex-works today, SteelOrbis has heard.
