Today, May 13, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices mostly have fallen by TRY 100/mt ($2-3/mt) amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand, while remaining unchanged in the Marmara region, as compared to Thursday, May 9. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 22,700-23,500/mt or $587-608/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, with an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 32.21.

Icdas has kept its official dollar-based rebar price stable at $620/mt ex-works today. While the general official rebar price range in the Marmara and Izmir regions  varies at $585-600/mt, versus $590-610/mt ex-works a week ago. Most buyers are making purchases only in line with their needs on a daily basis and are unwilling to restock material due to the unclear financial situation in the country and the limited access to credit from banks.

One Iskenderun-based mill has kept its rebar price at TRY 23,500/mt ($608/mt) ex-works today.

In the Samsun region, one mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 23,800/mt ($616/mt) ex-works today.

As of today, rebar offers in the Turkish spot market are as follows:
