The reference price for the export of rebar by Brazilian producers is $870/mt, against $820/mt four weeks ago, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.
In November, Brazil exported 24,500 mt and imported 13,900 mt of rebar, against respectively 24,300 mt and 3,800 mt in October.
In November, Gerdau exported 11,400 mt of rebar at $588/mt to Peru, while ArcelorMittal exported 7,600 mt at $676/mt to Bolivia, 5,000 mt at $666/mt to the US and 500 mt at $774/mt to Paraguay, all FOB conditions.
The imports were from Russia (10,200 mt at $537/mt), Turkey (3,600 mt at $590/mt) and Germany (100 mt at $1,731/mt), also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, rebar is offered by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 5,700/mt ($1,149/mt), against BRL 5,450/mt four weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
