Today, December 11, Turkish steelmaker Icdas A.S. has hiked its longs prices as compared to Thursday, December 7, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and costlier import scrap and billet. The mill has increased its official rebar price on lira basis by TRY 360/mt to TRY 19,780/mt ($620/mt) ex-works. The supplier has also raised its wire rod price, by TRY 365/mt to TRY 20,420/mt ($640/mt) ex-works. Both long product prices include 10 percent VAT and indicate a $10/mt increase on US dollar basis.

Most mills in the Izmir and Marmara region are offering official rebar prices at $610-635/mt ex-works today.
