Turkey’s Kardemir has opened its rebar sales at TRY 19,665/mt ($610/mt), excluding VAT, earlier today, May 15. Its new rebar price indicates an decrease of TRY 35/mt in the local currency, while rising by only $2/mt on US dollar basis amid the ongoing currency fluctuations, as compared to Wednesday, March 20.

According to sources, the workable rebar prices in the Marmara and Izmir regions are at $585-600/mt ex-works.

Kardemir sold its rebar at yesterday’s Turkish Central Bank-based exchange rate of $1 = TRY 32.25.
