Turkey’s Kardemir opens merchant bar sales after long break, sales now closed

Earlier today, November 28, Turkish mill Kardemir mostly raised its merchant bar prices by $20/mt, while raising its IPE-NPI-NPU (160-200) (Std) price by $40/mt, amid higher import scrap and billet prices, as compared to its previous price list issued on Thursday, October 19, opening its merchant bar sales for the first time in a long while. The list prices are shown below.

According to sources, Kardemir succeeded in selling around 40,000 mt of merchant bar, closing its sales after a couple of hours.
