Over the past week, most Turkish mills have kept  their official wire rod prices stable in the Iskenderun and Thrace regions, while prices have fallen by $5/mt in the rest of the country amid sluggish demand. Additional discounts are applicable for cash payment and serious buyers only.

One Iskenderun-based mill has kept its wire rod price stable at $610/mt ex-works.

Most local buyers are exerting pressure for further discounts and taking their time before concluding new purchases ahead of the Turkish central bank's interest rate decision due on Thursday, May 23.
