Today, April 4, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 200-300/mt, with minor changes on US dollar basis, amid sluggish demand and the appreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar, as compared to Monday, April 1. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 23,000-23,900 mt or $601-625/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, with an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 31.89.
Icdas has kept its official dollar-based rebar price at $620/mt ex-works today. The general official rebar price range in the Marmara and Izmir regions varies at $597-620/mt ex-works, versus $600-625/mt ex-works, earlier this week.
One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 24,100/mt ($630/mt) ex-works, while an additional sizeable discount is applicable for serious buyers only.
