Today, April 29, in the Marmara and Karabuk regions Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have remained stable  on Turkish lira basis, while rising by $3-4/mt on US dollar basis, while in the Izmir and Iskenderun regions domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 100/mt) with just minor changes on US dollar basis amid the ongoing currency fluctuations, as compared to Thursday, April 25. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have remained stable at TRY 22,900-23,800/mt or $589-613/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, with an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 32.38.

Icdas has kept its official dollar-based rebar price stable at $620/mt ex-works today. The general official rebar price range in the Marmara and Izmir regions  varies at $590-610/mt ex-works, while the workable rebar price still seems close to the lower end.

The general sentiment on the demand side is negative and most local buyers are purchasing only in line with their daily needs. A few local traders are applying aggressive pricing policies to generate sales.

As of today, rebar offers in the Turkish spot market are as follows:
