Today, December 14, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mostly declined by TRY 100-300/mt (3-9/mt) compared to Monday, December 11, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand. In addition, rebar spot prices in the Karabuk region have remained unchanged over the same period. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 21,200-21,700/mt or $609-624/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, with an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 29.00.
Icdas has kept its official dollar-based rebar price at $620/mt ex-works today. The general official rebar price range in the Marmara and Izmir regions varies at $620-635/mt ex-works, while additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers.
One Iskenderun-based mill has closed its rebar sales today. A few re-rollers in the same region are offering rebar at TRY 22,000/mt ($632/mt), up by TRY 300/mt ($8/mt) over the same period.
