Today, April 25, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have remained unchanged both in the local currency and on US dollar basis, as compared to Monday, April 22. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have remained stable at TRY 23,000-23,900/mt or $589-612/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, with an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 32.54.
Icdas has kept its official dollar-based rebar price stable at $620/mt ex-works today. The general official rebar price range in the Marmara and Izmir regions varies at $590-610/mt ex-works, while the workable rebar price seems close to the lower end.
Turkey’s central bank has kept interest rates stable at 50 percent in its decision announced today. The general sentiment on the demand side in the domestic rebar market is negative given the unclear financial situation in the country.
