Over the past two weeks, most Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have cut their official export prices by $5/mt on the lower end to $615-635/mt amid the sluggish international demand. Currently, official ex-Turkey equal angle offers are standing at $615-635/mt FOB, for late August-early September shipment.
The SteelOrbis daily Turkish import billet reference price stands at $485-510/mt CFR for now, versus $495-515/mt CFR two weeks ago.
Demand from the Balkan region is somewhat better, while most European buyers appear to be on holiday.
