Over the past week, most Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have kept their official export prices stable at $630-650/mt FOB against the backdrop of sluggish international demand. Currently, official ex-Turkey equal angle offers are standing at $630-650/mt FOB, for late November-December shipments. Sources report a few re-rollers are giving sizeable discounts for serious buyers and are even offering at below $630/mt FOB, SteelOrbis has heard.
The SteelOrbis daily Turkish import billet reference price stands at $495-530/mt CFR so far, stable week on week.
"The general sentiment on the demand side is negative due to the unrest in the Middle East," one source commented.
