Over the past week, Turkish mills in the Marmara and Izmir regions have reduced their official wire rod prices by $5-10/mt, while the official wire rod prices of mills in the rest of the country have remained stable, with sizeable discounts available for serious buyers.

One Iskenderun-based mill has kept its wire rod price stable at $615/mt ex-works over the past week.

Kardemir issued its 6-27 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod price at $600/mt ex-works on Thursday, April 25. Most local buyers are exerting pressure due to sluggish demand and the unclear financial situation in the country.
