Turkish mills have hiked their wire rod prices by $5-10/mt amid higher prices for billet and import scrap.

An Iskenderun-based mill has issued its official wire rod price at $640/mt ex-works today, December 8.

Most local buyers are monitoring the rises in billet and import scrap prices. Some local buyers are purchasing only in line with their daily needs, while other buyers are in wait-and-see mode in order to see how long the upward trend will last.
