Over the past week, Turkish mills have mostly kept their wire rod prices stable, while prices have fallen by $5/mt in the Izmir region. According to sources, although the list prices have moved sideways, additional $5-10/mt discounts are available to serious buyers.

One Iskenderun-based mill has also kept its wire rod price unchanged over the past week, at $630/mt ex-works.

Most local buyers are monitoring the ongoing currency fluctuations and the import scrap price trend before restocking and are only purchasing in line with their daily needs for now.
