Turkish official domestic wire rod prices move sideways

Over the past week, Turkish mills have kept their domestic wire rod prices unchanged amid slow trading activity. Sources report that, though list prices have remained stable, additional $5-10/mt discounts are available to serious buyers.

One Iskenderun-based mill has kept its wire rod price unchanged over the past week, at $630/mt ex-works.

Demand is generally sluggish due to Ramadan and most buyers are taking their time before concluding new purchases as they wait for the Turkish Central Bank's interest rate announcement on Thursday, March 21.
