Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 19, 2024

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have decreased by NTD 300/mt ($9$/mt) over the past week to NTD 10,800-11,500/mt ($333-355/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have increased by NTD 2,000/mt ($62$/mt) over the past week to NTD 38,500-41,000/mt ($1,188-1,265/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late May shipments.
