Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 40

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have decreased by NTD 600/mt ($20/mt) since last week and are now quoted at NTD 9,700-10,600/mt ($318-348/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have decreased by NTD 1,000-2,000/mt ($33-66/mt) over the same period, to NTD 49,000-53,000/mt ($1,607-1,738/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-October shipments.
