Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 50, 2023

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 300/mt over the past week to NTD 11,500-12,200/mt ($368-390/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 36,500-39,000/mt ($1,166-1,246/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late December and early January shipments.
