India’s NMDC Limited hikes prices of iron ore and fines with immediate effect

India’s state-run miner NMDC Limited has increased prices of iron ore lumps and fines by INR 200/mt ($2.40/mt) with immediate effect, company sources said on Thursday, November 23.

Following the hike, the price of iron ore lumps (10-40 mm with Fe content of 67 percent and above) stands at INR 6720/mt ($80.67/mt) ex-pithead and that of fines (10 mm, Fe content 54 percent) stands at INR 4660/mt ($55.94/mt) ex-pithead.

The prices are inclusive of mandatory levies like District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET) cess and forest permit fees.
