Some prices adjusted in Turkey’s ship scrap market

Following the sharp price declines seen in Turkey’s import scrap segments, Izmir-based Turkish steel producers are adjusting their ship scrap prices. A major producer has cut its price by $13/mt, while another had raised its price by the same margin. In general, the price range remains at $375-410/mt today, March 1, but there is room for a further decline in the ship scrap market in the coming week.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
