Turkey’s ship scrap market increases further

As compared to the levels recorded on March 26, Turkey’s ship scrap market has moved up by 3-11/mt. Currently, the general price range for ship scrap stands at $375-402/mt. The mills that are staying out of the deep sea scrap segment are focusing on the alternatives and ship scrap is one. Turkey’s ship scrap market is also positively impacted by the recovery in the deep and short sea scrap markets.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
