Turkey’s ship scrap prices relatively stable

As of today, April 22, the general price range for ship scrap in Turkey stands at $375-400/mt. Despite the adjustments announced by the local steel producers in the Izmir region, the general range has only declined by $2/mt on the upper end. This mostly sideways movement in Turkey’s ship scrap market is very similar to the stable trend observed in the deep sea segment.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
