Overall trading activity is still weak, while the Chinese New Year holiday is approaching and some downstream buyers are already on holiday and traders are mostly not inclined to change their quoted prices. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may just indicate very minor changes.
Local Chinese welded pipe prices have fluctuated slightly during the past week. Overall trading activity is still sluggish. Some traders have chosen to increase their prices a little since prices of steel strip and other raw materials have edged up amid positive macroeconomic news. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may fluctuate very slightly.
