Local Chinese steel pipe prices have moved sideways or indicated small fluctuations during the past week.

Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have softened slightly or remained stable during the past seven days despite the increases seen in billet prices. Overall trading activity remains weak As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may move up by a small margin.

Local Chinese welded pipe prices have either moved sideways or increased by small margins during the past week, with the increases caused by higher steel strip prices. Overall trading activity has improved a little due to the warmer weather. Most traders have kept their prices stable in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, considering the support from the cost side, it is believed that welded pipe prices may follow a slightly upward trend.
